PRICE CHARTS

Price charts indicate the total tour price per person, land only based on two in a room. Prices
in this catalogue are good as of May 15, 2010.

GETTING THERE

HOTELS:

We feature hotels specially selected for its location and five star features. We’re occasionally obliged to make substitutions. All hotels offer us standard grade rooms. If you’re arriving at hotel before midday, please be patient if check-out delays preparation of your room.

TRAVELING ALONE:

Single rooms are limited, so please reserve early. We can also try to match you with a roommate. Sharing a room requires flexibility and tolerance, and we can only assign you a roommate if someone else on your tour wants to share.

THREE IN A ROOM:

We can usually arrange for 3 travelers to occupy one room. But for adults, the reduction in cost is tiny, and you’ll be in a standard room for two with an extra foldaway bed and it can get very cramped. Most European hotels do not have ‘triple’ rooms.

MEALS:

We don’t feature “standard” menus – we always try to make each included meal special. Breakfasts are usually American Buffet-Style. Beverages are not included with meals, except where indicated.

KASHRUT:

In Israel, all hotels & and most restaurants included in our tours are Kosher. In the rest of the world, hotels & most restaurants aren’t kosher. Whenever we order a pre-set menu, we ensure that a fish, dairy or vegetarian meal be available for those who prefer it. And shellfish & pork never appear on a pre-set menu.In Israel, all hotels & and most restaurants included in our tours are Kosher. In the rest of the world, hotels & most restaurants aren’t kosher. ON TOUR

Baggage:

Because of restricted storage space on motor coaches, and because packing becomes a headache, we limit travelers to one large suitcase per person on all our tours. Sorry, we just can’t accept more luggage than this.

Your Itinerary:

The itinerary sent with your documents will detail your schedule. If for any reason, you leave your tour early – or choose to miss any part of it – there can be no refunds for unused services.

Saturdays & Holidays:

Our tours observe Shabbat & Jewish Holidays. We schedule appropriate walking tours, otherwise Shabbat & Jewish holidays are days at leisure. In Israel, we follow the custom of single-day Shavuot, Sukkot and Pesach observance.
Tours over holidays invariably involve rescheduling the itinerary; we sometimes have to substitute or omit some sites and stores & restaurants may be closed.

Motor Coaches

We utilize luxury motor coaches with air-conditioning, wherever necessary. Your Tour Manager arranges a daily rotation of seats to ensure everybody an opportunity to sit up front. In many countries, motor coaches don’t have restrooms; nor do we permit smoking on tour buses. For smaller groups, we utilize air-conditioned cars (7-11seaters)

Passports/VIisas

All tour participants must travel with a passport valid for at least 6 months after your tour ends. American citizens don’t need visas for most countries. For tours to countries for which Americans require a visa, we’ll include instructions and application forms in your Confirmation Kit.

ABOUT YOUR HEALTH

Travelers should be in stable health, and be confident of their ability to undertake the tour chosen. Every tour includes a substantial amount of walking. Tour participants who require assistance must be accompanied by a helper capable of, and totally responsible for, providing such assistance. Please consult our reservations staff, as well as your physician, if you’re in doubt about your ability to undertake any tour you’re considering. Also, your physician can let you know if he/she or the U.S. Public Health Service has recommendations on special health precautions relevant to your destination.

TRANSFERRING TOURS:

For the most part, you can transfer your reservation from one tour or date to another without penalty up to 60 days before departure. Thereafter regular Cancellation penalties may apply.

CANCELLING A TOUR

Cancellation fees aren’t imposed to punish; we try hard to keep them as low as possible, but they represent a very real combination of administrative expenses, foregone economic opportunities and non-recoverable deposits. Moreover, many tours are calculated on low-cost non-refundable air tickets, so if you cancel 30 days or less before travel, they can’t be refunded.

RESPONSIBILITY

Travel With Jacob, Jewish Travel Worldwide division of Isramworld, and their representatives abroad (hereafter referred to as “We”) act only as agents for the tour members in making arrangements for hotels, transportation, touring, restaurants or any other services in connection with the itinerary. We exercise reasonable care in making tour arrangements. As we don’t own, manage, control, run or operate any transportation or recreational vehicle, motel, hotel, restaurant, or any supplier of services, we and our representatives assume no liability in arranging transportation, hotel & other accommodations & aren’t responsible for any personal injury, illness or property damage or indirectly out of any action of any person or supplier of services providing any of the services, programs or accommodations in connection with a tour.
By participating in this tour, you’re bound by our rules and you participate in the activities of the tour at your own risk. Climbing, hiking, extensive walking, touring in general, use of various transportation and re-creational vehicles, and other physical activity involved greater risk of physical injury than the activities in which you may participate during your daily life, and by taking part in those activities, you incur and assume all the risks that these activities present.
We assume no responsibility at all, and no liability at all, for any death, loss, delay, accident, expense, defect or any other abnormality that may result from your participation in any activity during the tour. The tickets, coupons, tariffs, rules or contracts currently in use by any carrier, hotel, restaurant or other contractor rendering services shall constitute the sole contract between such contractor and the tour member. We accept no responsibility for any damage, delay or injury due to sickness, pilferage, labor disputes, machinery breakdown, quarantine, government restraints, hostile acts, terrorism, weather or any other cause beyond our personal control. We cannot be responsible for loss of, or damage to, your luggage, for accidents en route, or for ill health that may require travelers to miss parts of tours or to return home without the group. No carrier shall be responsible for any act, omission or event during the time tour participants are not on board its own conveyance. The itineraries published in this tour catalogue are sample itineraries. We reserve the right to cancel or change itineraries and to substitute services for any reason without notice. The sequence of cities & distribution and amounts of touring & leisure time is subject to change. The right is reserved to substitute another scholar-lecturer for the scholar-lecturer originally scheduled, or to withdraw the services of a scholar-lecturer altogether, and such substitution or withdrawal is not a basis for participant cancellation or refund. We reserve the right to decline to accept or retain any tour participant at any time before or during the tour, for any reason whatsoever, including failure to complete tour payment in accordance with our published schedule, and in the event of passengers whose mental or physical condition or general behavior or deportment impedes the operation of the tour or affects the rights, welfare or enjoyment of other tour participants. It is agreed by and between the passenger(s) that all disputes and matters whatever arising under, in connection with or incident to this agreement shall be litigated, if at all, in and before a court located in the City of New York, New York State, U.S.A. to the exclusion of the courts of any other city, state or country. In view of statutory or contractual limitations that may apply to personal injury or property damage losses, the purchase of accident or baggage insurance is strongly recommended. The issuance and acceptance of tickets and/or other documents in connection with a tour is considered acceptance of the above terms.
